How to “Play” a bullish silver view

Hello I am considering exciting out of gold and into Silver. Can you suggest any silver stock to look at. Thank you

Answer

Hi Peter,

We can understand your logic with silver experiencing a deeper pullback than gold during the recent tariff inspired market volatility. Unfortunately, unlike gold which has an abundance of ASX listed stocks to garner exposure to the precious metal it’s a very different story for silver with a dearth of opportunities, hence we would be more inclined to consider a silver facing ETF play. Two options are:

  • The Global X Physical ETF (ETPMAG) which is traded on the ASX and literally tracks the value of silver bars which it holds, the fees are ~0.49% per annum.
  • The Global X Silver Miners ETF (SIL US) traded in the US which looks to track the Solactive Silver Miners ETF, the fees are ~0.65% per annum.
