Question asked

BHP / US Tech Exposure

Hi James and Team. Thankyou for your insights and commentary as always. Quick question on BHP. I believe on the last update MM provided on the company, MM would be looking to add around $38 (down from $40). If MM didn't around hold c.8% would you be accumulating around $40. US tech exposure... I have traditionally played o/s stocks with locally based ETFs (lazy). What's your preferred ETF, locally traded for US tech? I would ideally prefer a high concentration to the big US tech companies (MAMAA). Thankyou and appreciate your thoughts (general advice only) Jack

Answer

Hi Jack,

BHP: Yes, if we had no position, accumulating between $38-$40 ahead of their upcoming dividend makes sense to us.

US Tech: We actually like the composition of the Bloomberg Metaverse Index, that provides exposure to a portfolio of leading global companies involved in building, developing and operating the Metaverse. For those note familiar, the Metaverse is essentially the next iteration of the internet that combines our digital and physical lives. Betashares have an ETF that tracks this called the BetaShares Metaverse ETF (MTAV). We like it because it has a broader array of companies doing interesting/different things within the theme.
