Question asked

Westpac (WBC)

This one is more a correction for the record than a direct question. I note in Weekend Q&A on 22 July you made mention of WBC “ending the week testing its all-time” high. Interestingly this is not the first time I (a long time holder of WBC) have heard this statement in the last 2 weeks, the second being on ‘The Call’. WBC touched an all-time high of $39.46 on 25/3/2015 (sadly, I didn’t sell then). So the current price, while reaching a new 52 week high is languishing a long way off it’s all-time high.

Answer

Hi Peter,

Apologies, you are 100% correct, one of the risks of using weekly charts keying off the pullback during COVID, attention to detail is always important. The decade has not been a great one for WBC!
