WPR, post results

Hi MM, You wrote on 22.01.24 you have looked at WPR for the Emerging Companies Portfolio in the past and will await FY23 results due out on 26.02.24 before making a definitive call. Now that results are out, and following the subsequent share price fall, can we please have an update on your thinking and intentions towards the stock, including what price or range you would buy in at, if at all? Thanks, Darren

Answer

Hi Darren,

WPR reported FY24 distributable income of $110.7m or 16.48c, in line with consensus, however, they went a step further and for the first time provided full year guidance for earnings per share (EPS )of 16.32-16.48c.  That guidance range is 2-3% below consensus for FY24 which was 16.8c with the difference stemming from a higher cost of debt (4.5% in 24 v 4.0% in 23).

  • ~$2.20 we think the risk/reward looks great, but we may step up to the plate earlier – watch for alerts.
