Interest rates have been a drag right across the property sector and Charter Hall Social Infrastructure REIT has not been immune. When a stock is void of any catalyst to rally, and the incremental news flow worsens, the share price typically follows, which has been the case with CQE and others, including Dexus (DXS) and Centuria Capital (CNI) that we currently own. Patience will be required for this, and most property related stocks for now. The prospects here depend on time frame – medium to long term they look okay, but short term they are unlikely to move a lot until the funding environment changes. CQE go ex-dividend for 4c on the 28th September.
