Over the last year there have been times when Nvidia’s (NVDA US) quarterly earnings reports have been the markets focal point and with the stock up more than five-fold in recent years its generally delivered a net bullish influence across markets, and especially anything AI related.

WTC +4.7%: Today announced its biggest ever acquisition, agreeing to buy E2open Parent Holdings in a deal that values the US company at $US2.1 billion (A3.2bn), a 28% premium to Fridays close.  This was not totally new news to the market, with WTC having flagged the potential acquisition, and provided a detailed rationale of the proposed transaction in recent weeks.

The payments company is a bull market stock, and has experienced eye watering volatility over the years, from under $1 up to $14 in 2021 and back down to 30c. It now trades ~$2 having pulled back from $3.60.

XRO managed to eke a 0.8% gain on Monday, taking it up ~8% year-to-date. Conversely, Wisetech (WTC), which has endured some governance issues of late, retreated 2.1%, extending the year’s decline to 18%.

WTC has struggled through 2025 following personal/governance issues around founder Richard White. However, while WTC addresses the problems, it’s fundamentally business as usual.

Thanks MM for your regular updates and insightful commentary.
I bought Xero sometime ago on a MM recommendation but sold last year after a reasonable increase. My logic at the time was that I thought the price may plateau or drop but the opposite has happened with very strong results lately. If you weren’t holding now would XRO be a buy?
