Sectors: Technology
C79 reported preliminary results yesterday (i.e. unaudited) that were very strong and point to accelerating momentum in the business. As a refresher, C79 has proprietary technology called PhotonAssay™, developed originally by the CSIRO, which Chrysos now exclusively commercialises.
ZG US reported its 2Q results on Thursday (7th August) that were mildly ahead of consensus expectations, and guidance was inline for 3Q revenue, and broadly in line in terms of earnings. The stock initially traded higher, before pulling back in the few sessions since.
TNE retreated 2.9% on Monday, not a major drop but the stock has shown little interest in extending its gains since posting a fresh high in June.
PME is an Australian healthcare technology company that develops and supplies medical imaging software and services to hospitals, diagnostic imaging groups, and healthcare providers worldwide – it’s more of a tech than a healthcare stock.

Reported quarterly results after hours this morning, and the stock is trading down 27% – not good. While shares were up 60% from recent lows, the reaction to an ‘inline’ result seems very harsh and hard to reconcile (other than saying the stock had run hard).
REA +6.94%: Strong session for the real-estate listings behemoth after they met FY25 expectations for earnings, though they bumped up the dividend and the commentary was very upbeat despite actual guidance around listing volumes appearing conservative.
Global trends matter for local stocks, helping shape how we think about opportunities closer to home. Last week, Booking Holdings (owner of Booking.com, Priceline and OpenTable) reported a strong set of numbers – earnings up 32%, bookings across their platforms up 13% YoY, and profits beating consensus by 10% thanks to better margins.
Hi James and team,
