Take overs

Hi Guys great work on the information you provided to keep us informed on the markets. Over the portfolios you run could you list the stocks that you think could be potentially take over targets. If any. Regards Wayne

Answer

Hi Wayne,

Thanks for the thumbs up, always appreciated. Takeover bids often come from left field, but this stage the prime candidates in our MM Portfolios are:

Active Growth: Our top 3 would be Amcor (AMC), Light & Wonder (LNW) and Paladin (PDN). The first two are dual listed and trading cheap compared to their peer’s while consolidation is occurring in the uranium space.

However, we note that we don’t allocate a high probability to any of these outcomes.

Active Income: Our top 3 would be Amcor (AMC) as before, Charter Hall Long WALE REIT (CLW) as REIT consolidation continues, and AGL Energy which has already attracted takeover interest before, with AGL rejecting a Brookfield/Cannon-Brookes proposal in 2022.

International Equities Portfolio: Our top pick by far would be Ashland (ASH US) which has already attracted M&A speculation.

Emerging Companies Portfolio: Our top 4 would be ReadyTech (RDY) which has just turned down an offer this month, Silex (SLX) and NexGen (NXG) which could both be in the sites of US giant Cameco (CCJ US) and Life360 (360) which would make strategic logic for an Apple, Google, or Meta to acquire Life360’s user base and location data infrastructure.
