I am looking to buy ANZ or Medibank MPL or both as an alternative to holding surplus cash (assume I am currently holding 60% equities 40 % cash) over the next 6 months - question: do I continue to hold surplus cash, buy one of the above or both or buy something else? Regards, Michael S.

We currently like the banks and are comfortable not having exposure to the Insurance Sector in our Flagship Growth Portfolio (we do hold IAG in our Income Portfolio). As we’ve discussed previously our optimum buy level for ANZ bank (ANZ) is under $26, in todays choppy market there’s an argument to slowly accumulate into any weakness as stocks continually fall short of our target zones.
