Question asked

5ea.

5ea listed on Nasdaq (as feam ) in February at $2.95. Rose to $3.75 but since fallen to $1.94 with no announcement. FEAM has fallen steadily and starting to look something has gone wrong. Boric acid up 50%. Wish these people would come clean. Also any ideas on HFR - well down on its high and trading all over the place.

Answer

Hi Brian,

You are not wrong regarding 5E Advanced Materials (FEAM US) which is a $520m US based advanced materials company that only listed in March , but since then it’s only gone one way. When markets are running hot, companies like this can perform well based on hype, but as rates rise and risk appetite gets pared back they tend to struggle. The only analyst coverage on the stock is positive, however price does not lie, and this seems a bull market stock! RE Highfield Resources (HFR), Potash has been weak and I suspect this $320m company has simply been caught up in the downdraft – nothing more sinister is my observation.
