Truth Social God Bless America ETF (NYSE: YALL) US$41.65

ETFs can give us an insight into market sentiment and positioning, we’ve seen it in recent weeks with the semiconductors unwinding almost straight after leveraged ETFs came to the fore on stocks like SK Hynix. In the US, the God Bless America ETF (YALL) was originally launched in October 2022; it was acquired and rebranded by Trump Media’s Truth Social Funds as the Truth Social God Bless America ETF after Donald Trump’s return to the White House.

The God Bless America ETF (NYSE: YALL) is an actively managed US equity ETF launched in 2022 that markets itself as an “anti-woke” investment, seeking capital appreciation by investing in companies it believes prioritise shareholder returns over political or social activism. It screens companies using both traditional financial metrics and qualitative assessments of corporate political and cultural positioning. In practice, the portfolio looks broadly similar to a large-cap US equity fund but with notable tilts:

  • Overweights sectors such as energy, defence, industrials and financials.
  • Holds companies including Tesla, Nvidia, Broadcom, Boeing and Palantir.
  • Excludes several mega-cap technology names such as Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon and Meta, reflecting its investment philosophy.

NB We’ve included this ETF today to demonstrate how ETFs can provide an interesting insight on more than one level, although in this case it will be interesting to see what becomes of it after the President ends his second and last term in the White House.
