Remember stocks / sectors are cyclical like the markets

Human emotions hugely influence stock markets on a short term basis with the factors like "Fear & Greed", "Fear of being wrong", "Fear of missing out" to name a few all playing their individual roles.

Obviously on a medium to long term basis it's the valuations / fundamentals that determine a stock's price.

This is one of the reasons Market Matters believes in both fundamental and technical analysis to aid both stock selection and investment / trade location.

Our resources sector has clearly been unloved for many years and for good reason as the Chinese economy slows and the price of commodities tumble.
