The iPhone 6 gets mixed reviews, any effect on Telstra and JBH Hi-Fi?
The new Apple iPhone 6 has received very mixed reviews at best, culminating in numerous images in the press of warped mobiles. A number of articles appeared on the newswires in early September identifying the likely upswing in revenue for both JB Hi-FI (JBH) and Telstra (TLS) from the launch of another new Apple product. Although sales of the new phone have been clearly frenetic early on with large queues outside the respective stores, I would not be surprised to see these taper off until the issues are rectified, but then the brand name will take over and we will witness another Apple success.
Overall, the current weakness in both JB HI-FI and Telstra seems to be far more market related than iPhone 6 related.
