ABY -10.60%: the beauty products e-commerce business reported disappointing numbers and a softer outlook, weighing on the stock today. Revenue was a small miss to expectations despite being up +65% for the year, coming in at $199.7m. The portfolio was down -6.31% in the week, underperforming the small ords. Cash in the portfolio is sitting at around 9% while the portfolio is now up 13.10% for the financial year to date. This week the losers were last week’s winners, Adore Beauty (ABY) -21.36%, having been up 50% the week before, while Audinate (AD8) fell -12.45% following their FY22 results.  Pilbara Minerals (PLS) +3.15%, unfortunately, was the only stock to make a positive contribution to performance.

The portfolio was up +1.62% in the week, outpacing the performance of the small ords.  Cash in the portfolio is sitting at around 9%. The portfolio is now up 20.10% for the financial year to date, a strong outperformance to its benchmark. This week the winners were led by Adore Beauty (ABY) climbing over 50%, while Strandline (STA) rose ~11% and Capitol Health (CAJ) was up ~8.5%. The main detractor was St Barbara (SBM), falling -14% on disappointing guidance.

The portfolio was up 4.94% in the week, ahead of the small ords index which rose 4%. Cash remains at around 4% with no changes to the portfolio. There was a wide spread of performance during the week as the EOFY washing machine of trades flowed through. Audinate (AD8) and Adore Beauty (ABY) rallied 16.9% and 13% respectively. Zip (ZIP) continued its poor run to fall -9.5%, and Tyro Payments (TYR) was also weak, down -8.2%.

The portfolio was down -8.28% in the week, outpacing the 9.4% decline in the small ords – a tough week! Cash remains at around 4% with no changes to the portfolio. The weakness was driven by Calix (CXL) which fell -14.62%, while the biggest percentage fall was Zip Co (ZIP) down -18.32%, although it’s a very small weight in the portfolio. Adore Beauty (ABY) and Capitol Health (CAJ) were the outperformers this week.
