Afternoon Report Wednesday 26 November 2014
The ASX 200 ended the day 61 points higher at 5,396 led both by the banking and iron ore sector, with Westpac (WBC) up 1.4% at $33.07 and BHP Billiton (BHP) 1.3% at $32.53.
Woolworths (WOW) continues to disappoint, having closed 0.5% lower at $31.08 for the day, and down 13.7% for the current month!
Medibank (MPL) fell 1.9% today at $2.10, as close to 130m shares exchanged hands today.
Karoon Gas (KAR) rallied 12.9% higher today at $3.32, after welcoming a better than anticipated oil column drilled just off Brazil.
