Afternoon Report Friday 9 May 2014
The ASX200 was sold off early in the session, only to recover throughout the afternoon to close -15 points to 5,461.
ANZ closed -3.1% at $32.77, as expected, after trading ex-dividend today. CBA and NAB closed +37c & +23c higher to $79.46 and $34.37 respectively.
The highlight today was Envestra (ENV) closing +18%, or +20.5c to $1.335, after APA's bid for the Company was surprisingly countered by Hong Kong's Cheung Kong yesterday.
