Afternoon Report Friday 14 November 2014
Subscribers received their live alert on transactions made on Hickman’s portfolio today, in line with recent reports.
The ASX 200 closed 12 points higher at 5,454 after an early sell off, trading as low as 5,419.
The energy sector was the weakest link today, with Woodside Petroleum (WPL) ending its day down 1.7% at $39.44 and Santos Ltd (STO) down 1.6%. The recent weakness has turned us neutral/negative.
Whitehaven Coal closed 3.9% lower at $1.365 as an oversupply of coal is seen. Glencore (GLEN.LN) has already announced it will shut down its Australian coal operations for three weeks due to the same issue.
