The ASX 200 closed 20 points lower at 5,443, its fourth straight day in negative territory.
The banking sector continued its weakness, with Westpac (WBC) being the weakest link; ending 1.1% lower at $32.96 after CEO, Gail Kelly announced her retirement from her reign by February 2015.
Citadel (CGL) debuted today, unchanged from its IPO float price of $2.25.
Arrium (ARI) ended the day down 3.5% to $0.28 and down 41.7% from its recent underwritten share placement. How much further will this go?
Seek Ltd (SEK) had a positive day, up 1.8% at $17.14 after releasing the quarterly earnings of its subsidiary, Zhaopin Ltd.
