ACR, SCP & DXS

Hi , I have held ACR for a long time and it is showing a small loss it is about 1 % of my portfolio , I expected it be a long term play but not a forever one ...but would like your thoughts ?...to cut and run ? SCG I have a 12 % profit plus dividends ...seems to have stalled thinking to move my money some were else maybe to DXS....your thoughts ? I find the reports great so keep them going. Thanks Glenn.

Thanks for the thumbs up much appreciated and just a quick reminder that we provide general as opposed to personal advice which means we don’t take into consideration any subscribers individual circumstances in our responses.

Acrux (ACR) is a $40m pharmaceutical company which continues to rotate around the 15c area hence we remain neutral at best from a technical perspective. I don’t know a lot about this company.
We do prefer the longer term outlook for the currently depressed office market via Dexus (DXS) than the currently depressed retail market which Scentre (SCG) has exposure to.
Dexus (DXS) is already making post COVID highs which as holders in our Active Income Portfolio is obviously pleasing.

The Match Out: ASX down, weakest session since early May

The ASX had its worst day since 5th May today, which implies we’ve had a pretty good run in stocks despite ongoing trade uncertainty. The market was hit on the open, with all sectors trading in the red before recent trends emerged; banks experiencing ongoing selling while resources bounced from their intra-day nadir.

Portfolio Positioning: Fed rate cut bets wane, even after a soft CPI

The ASX200 surged +0.7% on Tuesday following broad-based gains, which saw 70% of the mainboard close higher. The index posted a fresh record closing high for the second time in a fortnight, ignoring plenty of negative news along the way. Ironically, the only sector which slipped on the day was the materials even after China reported better-than-expected quarterly economic growth, although we wouldn't be surprised to see this translate to some buying in the miners into August.
