Question asked

AUD vs BAHT

“My question is to get a quick comment on currency and not take up too much of your time. I'm a retired expat, living in Bangkok and enjoying life. I have a large amount of Thai baht cash, which at the moment is devaluing against the $US (valuing down at the moment) & A$ (which is valuing up). Irrespective of Thai baht values, which currency (US$ or A$) do you feel will value up more against other world currencies over the next 6 months. Thanks for your opinion.” - Louis W

Answer

Morning Louis,

MM has been very bullish the Aussie over the last year calling a recovery to the 80c area. We feel the “easy money” is now behind us and over the next 6-months I can see rotation between 70c and 80c which probably doesn’t help a great deal. Longer term we still prefer the $A over the Greenback.

MM is remains bullish the $A
