A softer week for the International Portfolio down -1.47%, though the weakness in the AUD helped, highlighting why we typically prefer unhedged overseas exposure (it provides a cushion during weaker periods). Novo Nordisk (ADR: NVO) +11.3%, Chubb (NYSE:CB) +3.2% and Cameco (NYSE: CCJ) +3.2% led the line, offset by weakness in Barrick (NYSE: B) -8.7%, Freeport McMoRan (NYSE: FCX) -6.1% and JD.com (ADR: JD) -5.9%.

  • We added HCA Healthcare (NYSE:HCA) to the portfolio, taking cash down to ~8%.
