We wouldn’t be surprised to see the precious metal test the $US4300 area during the current market volatility but as we did on Thursday MM believes it’s timed to start increasing portfolio exposure to the precious metal – note the Active Growth Portfolio totally exited the sector at the start of March.
However, the MM ETF portfolio holds a 5% position hence we would need a panic style sell-off towards fresh 2026 lows before we considered increasing our position there, with 10% our capped maximum weighting.
