Sale of Mirvac Group (MGR)

On 5/11/25 evening report you stated you had taken profits on MGR last week. This was after posting an earlier alert you were selling MGR around $2.39. I set up a similar sale in my trading account as soon as I received the alert however the price didn’t reach $2.39 it went down. I kept an eye on the growth portfolio to see what action occurred with MGR over the two weeks. This week it is still listed in the growth portfolio and no sales have been made despite the comments in the evening report 5/11/25. I did notice that the date appearing on the Growth Portfolio sales update was 4/8/25 however, but this does not explain why MGR is still listed in the Growth portfolio and no sales listed. I am trying to learn from your advice but can’t understand what has unfolded so far with the MGR alert, supposed sale of the security and updates in the growth portfolio. Many thanks for some clarity.

Answer

Jeanette,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, we apologise it was human error that missed the update to the MM site. Just explaining our process to avoid any confusion, in line the real money portfolios we manage.

The Alert was sent to subscribers on the 30/10/25 with the last traded price on the previous day being at $2.39. The price we give is ‘around $2.39’ meaning it is up for some interpretation. In reality, we are trading that day unless something material happens and the stock gaps down on open.

We publish the VWAP price on the site, which is the volume weighed average price of the day – the fairest way of doing it, which is how we trade across our portfolios. In this case, that was $2.30 on the day. Unlike many, we do not ‘pick’ the high or low in a fictitious portfolio – and the site should have reflected that the next morning.  We aim to update all of our portfolios within 24-hours. Sorry again for the confusion.
