The ZYAU ETF provides investors with exposure to the top 40 ASX200 stocks with the highest shareholder yields over the past year, aiming to track the ASX 200 High Dividend Index. Not a confusing strategy, hence the relatively low 0.24% management fee. Since its inception, the fund has had a total return of 9.11%, illustrating the strength of the ASX and its yield.

• While this is a solid strategy, the returns are inline with the Market Matters Income Portfolio, which has lower risk and lower volatility by blending high yield equities with hybrids and fixed income securities. Same return for less risk makes more sense to us.
