Question asked

How could I invest in India?

James, India appears to be taking off after a big fall. What is the best way to invest in India? (through US or OZ ETF's)

Answer

Hi,

Interestingly  at MM we find that subscribers tend to have a preference towards either Australian or US ETF’s, we are flexible which is reflected by the holdings in our ETF Portfolio but 2 that come to mind for India are below:

  • Australia – BetaShares India Quality ETF (IIND) which comprises a diversified portfolio of quality Indian companies.
  • US – iShares MSCI India ETF (INDA US) which seeks to track the returns of the MSCI India index composed of Indian equities.

We actually like the Indian stock market moving into 2023, if / when we “play” this view its likely to via the ASX traded IIND ETF for simple ease of execution.
