BlackRock Resources & Commodities Strategy Trust is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Trust’s primary investment objective is to seek high current income and current gains, with a secondary objective of capital appreciation. The Trust seeks to achieve its objectives by investing approximately 80% of its total assets in equity securities issued by commodity or natural resources companies, derivatives with exposure to commodity or natural resources companies or investments in securities and derivatives linked to the underlying price movement of commodities or natural resources. The Trust also invests up to 20% of its total assets in debt securities issued by companies in the commodities and natural resources sector or any type of securities issued by companies that are not in the commodities and natural resources sector. It invests in oil, gas and consumable fuels; metals and mining, and chemical sectors. Its investment adviser is BlackRock Advisors, LLC.
