Q on American Pacific Borates (ABR)

I have a substantial holding in ABR. Boron and sop also lithium. They are looking at a scheme of arrangement whereby they will delist from asx and list on the nasdaq becoming part of HOLDCO CDI. We are up about 8 times on this stock and seems to tick all the boxes. Wondering if you could advise on scheme of arrangement as not that keen on going on the nasdaq. Guess we will see today what the market thinks.

Answer

Hi Brian,

It’s not that uncommon for stocks to move listings, they usually do it to garner greater investor support and by definition hopefully a higher share price,  however the NASDAQ is not a “free” ticket to riches and the plans don’t always work out the way they’re planed.

There is a lot of information out there about the Scheme of Arrangement which I haven’t had time to go through. My inclination is to say back management, they’ve delivered to date, so why not now?

That said, we like Pilbara (PLS) & Independence Group (IGO) for lithium exposure into 2022 while a very speculative one in the space is Lepidico (LPD) which are developing something unique – if it comes off should be very valuable.
