Afternoon Report Monday 16 June 2014
The ASX 200 sold off early in the session, down -25 points at one stage on Iraq concerns, only to reverse and close up +5 points at 5,412.
Afternoon strength was led by the banking sector, with ANZ closing +0.9% to $34.06.
Echo Entertainment (EGP) closed +7.6% at $2.98 after upgrading its FY'14 earnings guidance.
The retail sector, however, continued its raft of downgrades. Despite Super Retail (SUL) closing +3.4% at $8.32, with the Company downgrading FY'14 profit guidance.
