Afternoon Report 20 June 2014
The ASX 200 closed on its lows today, down 49 points to 5,420, with the banking sector weak on the back of this morning’s SMH article “Secret trade negotiations: is this the end of the big four?”
Telstra (TLS) closed 1.3% lower to $5.17 – our ideal buy zone is in the $4.50 range.
The gold sector followed on from the strength in gold futures overnight, with Newcrest Mining (NCM) closing up 4.0% to $10.81 and OceanaGold (OGC) +9.2% to $3.44.
Ten Network (TEN) continued its weakness, closing down 18.3% for the week to $0.245.
