Afternoon Report Tuesday 28th April 2014

The ASX 200 finished a very lacklustre day down 34 points to 5948 (0.57%)

The Health Sector was the weakest, down today 1.81%. Worst to suffer was Cochlear - $3.65 (4.12%), to $85.00 Resmed (RMD) – 33c (3.90%) to $8.13 and Ansell - $1.23 (4.29%) to $27.43

Conversely the Consumer Staples sector was the strongest performer, but only just, rising 0.47%. Woolworths Ltd (WOW) + 61c (2.05%) was the only stand out.

The Materials Sector was weaker with BHP Billiton (BHP) was down 15c (0.46%) to 32.42, RIO Tinto (RIO) down 96c (1.64%) to $58.79 and Fortescue Metals (FMG) down 12c (4.67%) to $2.45.
