After I contemplated an aggressive purchase of NXL the next thought that crossed my mind was what tech stocks should we sell to fund the purchase i.e. we are already very overweight the sector. The stock which kept popping into my mind was MP1 which has rallied ~70% since April, we certainly like the company but can imagine 3-6 months consolidation around current levels following the stocks positive rerating, the obvious question is are we being too cleaver for our own good – the inherent problem for real money portfolios is you can’t buy / own everything!
MM will turn short-term neutral MP1 around $18.50
